How old were you when you first got involved in the Maker community?
I first got involved in the cosplay community when I was 32. I am 38 now.
Why did you get into Making? Did anyone introduce you to your area of expertise?
I dream job when I was young was to be a cartoonist. One day I decided to get started on the characters. But one of them didn’t look right. So I thought if I made the costume. It would improve my drawings. So I jump on YouTube and saw may tutorials on there. That was how I got started.
What inspires you when you are working on a project?
I am always on social media on my phone. I love scrolling through Instagram and Facebook. When I see people make cool stuff or using a cool materiel. I want to give it a go as well.
What advice would you give to young people who want to get involved?
Give it a go. It is so much fun. To be able to make something with your hands. It is such an amazing feeling.
